The Department of History, Archaeology and Social Anthropology of the University of Thessaly (IAKA)
in collaboration with the Ephorates of Prehistoric and Classical Antiquities, Byzantine Antiquities,
and Modern and Contemporary Monuments of the District of Thessaly, organizes in Volos, from the
27th of February to the 2nd of March 2003 the First Archaeological Meeting of Thessaly and Central Greece,
with the subject
"FROM PREHISTORY TO THE CONTEMPORARY PERIOD"
The research and the excavation reports
from the local Ephorates of the past years will be presented. There will also be held proposals with
theoretical content, and interpretative as synthetic presentations.
