International conference
On November 2017 the professor in-charge of the project Rika Benveniste and the post-doc researcher Dina Moustani organised the international conference titled «Jewish Education in Southeastern Europe, mid 19th-mid 20th century», in which the post-doc researcher presented part of her results.
The aim of this conference was to discuss about the following themes:
- Jewish education in the Ottoman Empire and in Greece (mid 19th- mid 20th century)
- Establishment of Alliance Israélite Universelle schools in the same period and their role in Jewish emancipation
- Jewish education in Greek and international schools
The acts of the conference are planned to appear during the 2018-2019 academic year.
