Crisis, unemployment and politics: a biographical approach

The deep economic recession that affected Greece in the last two years, resulted in almost a million of unemployed citizens. Having as a guiding principle the experiencing of negative situations, such as the loss of employment, we will try to highlight the reflection of this experience on their political behavior. Using the tool of biographical approach, we will study cases of unemployed people, who are experiencing the direct impact of the economic crisis. We will attempt to discover perceptions, opinions and attitudes toward political actors and institutions and the functions they perform via the possible sentiments of distrust, lack of confidence and cynicism that unemployment causes.
