Trails / narrative and the trails of narrative
The presentation explores how the method of sound/audiowalk may be applied in oral history and the representation of the past in museum environments. The use of the method focuses on the ethnographic recording of the bodily and multisensorial experience of space production through the ways in which the subject remembers and maps the space in the process of walking. The theoretical discussion is associated with experimental applications of the method for the museum of the city of Volos which are part of the project “De.Mu.Ci.V.: Designing the Museum for the city of Volos: historical research and the development of innovative interactive environments for the distribution of scientific knowledge” of the research program “Thalis”.
