Introduction

Following the successful sixth AETHSE and the forthcoming publication of the Proceedings we proceed to the organisation of the seventh meeting, with one year of delay due to the Covid-19 pandemic, from Thursday the 24th-27th of February 2022. This 1st Circular determines the participation details of whoever is interested.

The AETHSE is organised in common by the Department of History, Archaeology and Social Anthropology of the University of Thessaly, the Ephorates of Antiquities, the Services of Later Monuments and Technical Works of Thessaly and Central Greece, as well as by the Special Regional Services of the Ministry of Culture and Sports responsible for the above Districts. The Services of the Ministry of Culture and Sports responsible for Thessaly and Central Greece, the Universities, the Research Centres, the Institutes, the Foreign Archaeological Schools and the scholars who are active in the Districts of Thessaly and Continental Greece, are invited to participate.

The colleagues from the regional Services of the Ministry of Culture and Sports, Universities, Institutes, Research Centres and Foreign Archaeological Schools will present their work of the years 2018-2021 in papers of 15 minutes. It is to be clarified that we do not ask only for excavation reports and presentation of new finds, but also papers with theoretical content as well as interpretative and synthetic presentations. In addition, it is also possible to present posters.

With this circular you are invited to send the title and a short summary of your paper until the 30th of September 2021. You are kindly asked to use the enclosed form of participation and to send it via e-mail to the Laboratory of Archaeology of the University of Thessaly [].

It is our intention to organize the congress with physical presence in Volos, but if the sanitary conditions do not allow this, it will be held virtually via the web.
