"No Greater Marvel" again. Use and reuse of the Mycenaean tholos-tomb at Orchomenos

A texture mapping carried out with the help of modern technology (3D photogrammetry) offers us the opportunity for a new examination of the so called "Treasury of Minyas" in Orchomenos and of the later structures associated with it. Together with the reanalysis of data and architectural elements that emerged during the first excavations by H. Schliemann and the restoration works completed later by A. Orlandos, this opportunity sheds also new light on the various theories put forward in the literature on the function and dating of the pi-shaped structure found in the interior of the tholos, and allows us to propose a new hypothesis of three-dimensional rendering of the tholos tomb and of its reuse at a later period.
