Folk Culture in the Museum. Key words for an internet research

What does Folk Culture mean as far as the internet is concerned? This question acts as the starting point for a research, whose results are going to be presented further on. The primary aim of this research is to try to interpret the fragmental results of the use of the internet search engines, as a single narration. A “mosaic” narration that is constructed from partial narrations. What kind of narration is shaped if the key words “Folk Culture” are used in a search engine? Is it possible for the internet user to come to an understanding of what folk culture is, just by combining the knowledge given from the search results? How is the narration shaped if the word museum is added to the key words? The admission is made that the final search, the case study is the phrase “Folk Culture in the Museum”. What are the search results this time? By using such a tool, the user receives a plethora of results, which do not offer to her/him the same amount of information or are not valid and enlightening in total. This paper aims to clarify the way in which internet search engines might be used as a research tool, due to the evaluation of the narration that is composed as a result of different search outcomes combination.
